To complement our food offerings, we provide a selection of beverages. Guests over the age of 21 can enjoy a selection of gourmet coffee, ice-cold beverages, and beer and wine.
How early must I arrive at Discovery Cove?
We are excited for your day at Discovery Cove. Please review this important and helpful information regarding your visit, including arrival times and what to bring. Admission to Discovery Cove Includes: Freshly prepared food, unlimited snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, and a selection of beer and wine for those over 21.
Use of Equipment and Facilities: changing rooms, swim vest or wet suit, snorkeling equipment, flotation devices, lockers, and towels. There are both private indoor and public outdoor showers available. To maintain a healthy environment for our animals, it is recommended that you shower before entering any of their living areas.
Sunscreen: A specially formulated sunscreen that is safe for all of our animal habitats is available in each bathroom. Self-parking is complimentary at Discovery Cove for the duration of the day. ID card: A personalized Discovery Cove ID card with in-park charging capabilities.
Discovery Cove Hours for Dining Breakfast is served at Laguna Grill from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Lunch is served at Laguna Grill from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. How to Pack for Discovery Cove Identification with a photo is required for all guests 18 and older. (ex: driver’s license or passport) For an optional in-park charge account or souvenir purchases, a credit card is required.
Bathing suit and a change of dry clothes. Please note that Discovery Cove is family-friendly, so we ask that you wear appropriate swimwear during your entire visit. Children in diapers must use water-resistant covers or Swim Diapers (can be provided if needed).

Park is not liable for lost, stolen, or missing property. (Bands for weddings are acceptable.) Food and beverages brought in from the outside are not permitted. This includes liquor and beverages. This includes noodles, swim fins, sand toys, flippers, and all scuba gear.
Check-In Times for Your Vacation to Discovery Cove Discovery Cove is a full-day excursion with waterways open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please anticipate arriving between 7:00 and 8:30 a.m. Please contact reservations at 407-513-4600 at least 24 hours in advance for special requests requiring a specific time frame.
Times of Arrival for Animal Experiences Dolphin Swim and SeaExploration: At the time of check-in, times are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Please arrive and check in no later than 11:00 a.m. for the Shark Swim. Please arrive and check in no later than 7:00am for the Ray Feeding.
- Please meet your dolphin trainer at 7:45 a.m.
- In the hotel lobby (check-in should occur before this time).

- Eligible Age Requirements for Animal Experiences Children ages 6 to 12 are required to be accompanied by a paying adult who is also participating in the dolphin swim experience.
Children ages 10 to 13 must be accompanied by a paying adult who is also participating in SeaVenture and Shark Swim. Ray Feeding, Animal Trek and Flamingo Mingle All participants must be at least 6 years old and competent swimmers. Additional Information In order to maintain a healthy environment for our animals, a shower is required before entering their living quarters.
There are private and outdoor shower facilities available. Guests must comply with all posted and verbal instructions given by park personnel. Before exiting the park, guests must report any injuries. Every bag, stroller, and other item is subject to inspection. Any individual who is not employed by Discovery Cove or its on-site contractors is prohibited from engaging in solicitation, the distribution of handbills, leaflets, advertising or promotional materials, or the sale of products or services on the park’s property without first obtaining Discovery Cove’s written permission.

- The SeaVenture program is the only location in the park where a wetsuit is required.
- Guests who choose to wear a Discovery Cove life jacket or any other US Coast Guard-approved life jacket are not required to additionally wear a wetsuit or wetsuit vest.
- The exception will again be SeaVenture.
