Although I enjoy both Wendy’s bacon and their new sausage patty, the combination made it difficult to appreciate how delicious these two meats are individually. They also completely overpowered the other flavors on the sandwich.

I ultimately cut my Breakfast Baconator in half and enjoyed it much more as a pseudo-bacon-egg-and-sausage sandwich and a sausage sandwich. I believe that the Breakfast Baconator would have been vastly improved by substituting a beef patty for the sausage, as beef patties have a more neutral flavor that would have allowed the bacon to shine.
